How To Create A Unit

Now that you've successfully created your property, let's delve into creating 'Units'. To begin, let's clarify what we mean by a 'Unit':


  • In the context of a property, an 'apartment' is considered a 'unit' when it's rented out in its entirety.

  • Within an apartment, if individual rooms are being rented out entirely, we consider each 'room' as a 'unit'.

  • Further, if beds within a room are being rented out individually (e.g., twin sharing or triple sharing), each 'bed' is treated as a 'unit'.


Now that the concept of a 'Unit' is clear, let's proceed with the process of creating one.


  • Access the New Experience: If you're using the new experience, navigate to "Core" > "My Data" > "Units".

  • Initiate Unit Creation: Click "+ CREATE NEW UNIT" to initiate the creation of a new unit. This will lead you to the unit creation page.

  • Provide Details:Choose the Property under which you're adding the unit. Specify the owner and tenant details if applicable. If they're not in the system, you can create them through 'create user'. Fill in other unit specifics like Floor no., door no., total area, number of bathrooms, etc.


  • Adding Amenities: Click "+ ADD" to add any amenities that apply to the unit.

  • Attach Documents: Attach any relevant documents to the unit.

  • Submission: Once all details are completed, hit 'Submit'. The unit will then be added to your property.
