Modified on Tue, 21 Nov, 2023 at 11:46 PM

Managing assets is a crucial part of any business operation. Keeping track of their health and status is essential for efficient operations. This article will guide you through the process of adding a new asset to your asset register.

You can add assets to the system using either of the following methods:

1. Individual Asset Creation

  • Navigate to Ops > Asset Register > "+ Asset."

  • General Details - Information such as the asset's name, category, condition, asset ID, floor, and location can be added in this section. You can also add any relevant notes in this section.

  • Entry Tagging - Link the asset to the specific property and unit where it's located. This linking is crucial for creating new tickets and monitoring asset health. You can include details about the vendor, custodian, or service provider in this section.

  • The Model Details - This section helps you keep track of specifics like brand name, model, color, tag number, and a description.

  • The Description and Accounting Details - This section enables you to record the asset's price, expected lifetime, warranty information, and the date of the next service. A pro tip: set up a Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) for the date of the next service to receive timely reminders.

  • Documents - This section, you can attach documents such as purchase bills and warranty cards.

  • Finally, click "Submit" to create the asset in your register.

2. Bulk Upload

  • Click on your name in the top right-hand corner and select 'Import Wizard' from the dropdown menu.

  • Choose 'Assets' from the list of bulk upload options.

  • On the next page, select a property and download the sample sheet.

  • Fill in the necessary data following the sample sheet format and click 'Upload.'

  • Once completed, your assets will be bulk uploaded into the system.
